Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, has announced the South African launch of its EasyPact NW air circuit breaker. This expands the company’s Easy Series portfolio with a cost‑effective, high‑performance solution designed for non‑critical low‑voltage (LV) applications across commercial buildings, light‑to‑medium industry, utilities and residential developments.

The introduction of EasyPact NW closes a long‑standing portfolio gap in the local market, giving system integrators, panel builders, contractors and end‑users access to a robust, feature‑rich air circuit breaker at an accessible price point, without compromising on the protection, safety and quality associated with Schneider Electric.

South Africa’s economic pressures, rising construction costs and the need for reliable electrical distribution have accelerated demand for LV solutions that balance affordability with dependable performance. EasyPact NW responds directly to this shift, offering the “right performance at the right cost” for applications that do not require the premium capabilities of Schneider Electric’s high‑end ranges.

What SA customers want

“Customers across South Africa are increasingly looking for cost‑effective electrical distribution solutions that still deliver the essential protection and performance expected from a global technology leader,” says Canninah Dladla, Cluster President for Sub-Saharan Africa at Schneider Electric.

“EasyPact NW gives them exactly that – a simplified, reliable and digitally accessible circuit breaker engineered for non‑critical environments such as commercial buildings, industrial facilities, utilities and general real estate developments.”

Dladla adds that EasyPact NW is built on the legacy of Schneider Electric’s long‑standing Masterpact NT/NW range.

“We value‑engineered this product using the proven DNA of a premium breaker, making advanced features available in a more accessible offer. It’s a major step forward for customers who need dependable protection without the cost of a high‑end system,” she explains
