South Africans are set to benefit from an exciting new innovation – an opportunity of owning a franchised business that makes water purely from the air and supplies restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, accommodation establishments and the like.

"We have been in the atmospheric water generation business since 2006 and have developed many firsts. This one has got to be the most exciting as it opens up the way to create lots of jobs, make money whilst eradicating the use of plastic bottles in the water industry. We use screen printed glass bottles that are returnable" said Ray de Vries, CEO of Planet Air Water™ yesterday from Cape Town.

Lodges, restaurants, hotels, resorts, schools and the like are for the first time able to sell sustainable water in reusable glass bottles with steel caps thanks to this exciting new innovation.

The company designed, supplied and fitted the first ever humidity harvesting bottling plant in Cape Town in up 2017 and has built 4 plants since then including the first ever solar powered one.

"The launch has been an incredible success" said Ray de Vries CEO of Planet Air Water™ "the susburban micro-bottling plant takes up surprisingly little space and offers both still and sparkling water harvested from just the air. The magic is that it is a very profitable franchise that has a relatively low entry level investment of R550,000. Our first franchisee in Hout Bay, Cape Town broke even in the their 3rd month pf operating and should realise a ROI of between 12 and 18 months.

The atmospheric water generation bottlingplant has been configured in a unique way to ensure maximum humidity harvesting with as little power as possible.  The bottling plant is operated manually so as to create as many jobs as possible and a suburban franchise can service between 50 and 100 outlets making for a very profitable business.

"We are super proud of this innovation as everyone wins - inlcuding the planet.  In this way we will negate the need to draw thousands upon thousands of litres of water from groundwater and replace it with water made from just the air. Our dream is to see an Air Water™ franchise in every suburb all combining to save the planet from millions of plastic bottles " said de Vries.
