Name and Location
Ryazan bitumen binders plant modernisation – Phase 2 expansion, Russia.

Client
Gazprom Neft, operator of the Gazpromneft Bitumen Materials.

Project Description
The initial phase of modernisation of the Ryazan bitumen binders plant has been completed.

The first phase of the Ryazan project has resulted in the plant facilitating the pouring of bitumen materials into a technologically innovative form of packaging, known as Clovertainer – a 1 000-ℓ-capacity laminated carton that allows for not only the transportation, storage and preservation of bitumens, with no loss of quality but also their long-distance delivery year-round.

The second phase of the investment programme envisages the plant being further equipped with the latest technologies, as well as the establishment of the company’s own scientific research centre for the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in the production of bitumens, polymer-modified bitumen binders (PMBs), bitumen emulsions, and the by-products of these.

Value
Total investment is estimated Rb300-million.

Duration
Completion is expected by 2020.
