Rubi solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant project.

Location
The project will be located on the Moquegua district of Peru’s Mariscal Nieto province.

Client
Enel Green Power Peru, a subsidiary of Enel.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of Peru’s largest PV plant, which will emit more than 267 000 t/y of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Electricity will be supplied to the National Interconnected Power System through the Montalvo substation.

$170-million.

The project is being financed with Enel’s own resources and supported by a 20-year power purchase agreement signed with Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines.

Rubi is expected to start commercial operation in 2018.
