The Rooppur NPP will comprise two VVER-1200 reactors with a total capacity of 2 400 MW.

Latest Developments
Work is under way to install the dome of the outer containment building for Unit 1.

Works on the dome assembly and installation are being undertaken by specialists from the Trest RosSEM Branch, a subsidiary of the Rosatom Engineering Division.

Installation of the lower tier of the outer containment dome has been completed.

The 200-t and 46.3-metre-diameter dome was installed in the design position at a height of 48.8 m The structure was lifted by a LR11350 crane, which took about five hours.

Various divisions of Rosatom are in charge of manufacturing reactor vessels, steam generators, pumps, heat-exchangers and other equipment.
