Project Description
The project involves the construction of a five-million-ton-a-year oil refinery in the region of Djemora, about 40 km north of Biskra. The refinery will produce various intermediate products, including 500 000 t of petrol, 220 000 t of liquid petroleum gas and 169 000 t of kerosene.
Similar refinery projects are under way in Ghardaia, Tiaret and Hassi Messaoud.
