Al Qassim province, Saudi Arabia.

Project Owner/s
Renewable-energy developer ACWA Power (40.1%), wholly owned Public Investment Fund Portfolio Company the Water and Electricity Holding Company (20%) and China’s State Power Investment Corporation (39.9%).

Project Description
Ar Rass is the biggest PV project that has been tendered as part of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP) to date.

When fully operational, the project will be capable of powering about 132 000 homes in central Saudi Arabia.

The project is set to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2024.
