An international brand of staplers, nail and pin guns was recently introduced to the South African market.

The range is said to cover models suitable for use by homeowners, crafters, do-it-yourself (DIY) enthusiasts and heavy industry users.

The Miles brand of staplers include the following models:

• MILTP5525 compact stapler and kit is a lightweight, high impact compact stapler with metal handles, plastic body and no loose parts. It offers a fast drop-in loading solution with reload indicator and comes with a handle lock to facilite easy storage. This model is seen as the most suitable for DIY enthusiasts and for projects such as posters, netting, textile, beading, framing, canvas and plastic protection. The MILTP5525C2 kit includes a stapler plus a box of 1 000 staples.
• MILTS5580R utility stapler is constructed of metal, with a compact design, no loose parts, drop-in loading with reload indicator, a handle lock for easy storage and soft rubber grip on the handle and under grip. This model is used mainly for industrial applications.
• MILTP5670T heavy duty 3-in-1 trigger-shot stapler is a heavy-duty solution with handle lock and soft-grip, that uses staples, nails, and pins. It offers trigger fire or normal stapling, and is seen as particularly useful for flush stapling. It is constructed of metal, with no loose parts.  It also features drop-in loading with reload indicator, handle lock and soft rubber grip.  It is used for insulation materials, ceiling panels, upholstery, carpentry and leather.
• MILTP5585K heavy duty stapler is made of metal, with no loose parts. It features a force-adjustment knob, drop-in loading with reload indicator and handle lock. It also has a viewing window, to help track the number of staples in the tool. This model is mostly used for wall decorating, beading, textiles, frames, leather and plastic protection.
