Project Description
The power plant could provide 235 000 kW/d of electricity at peak efficiency into the electrical grid. Its capacity is equivalent to the electricity consumption of 23 000 typical Basrawi homes. The power station will be powered by gas captured from Rumaila oilfield.

The new plant will help to balance Rumaila’s power requirements with the production of electricity using the field’s own resources, and support the Rumaila Operating Organization’s work to drill and produce oil from the field’s reserves.
