Protech Khuthele Holdings on Wednesday said, in a cautionary note to shareholders, that, as the failed company unwound, investigations were ongoing into its affairs.

The company provided no indication of the completion date.

Liquidators were appointed in July to wrap up the liquidation of the financially distressed civil engineering group after business rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

With the investigations into the asset and liability position of Protech not yet completed, it was “highly unlikely” that any dividends would accrue to shareholders, the company previously warned.

Protech’s shares on the JSE remained suspended.
