Project Description
Project One is designed to be one of the most efficient and sustainable ethylene crackers in Europe.
The facility will have a substantially lower carbon footprint, and will generate 1.5-million tonnes of ethylene with less than half the carbon dioxide emissions, compared with the current 10% of best European crackers.
The facility will cover 75 000 m² and will require 4 km of sheet piling, 26 km of drainage, 260 pumps, 300 000 t of earthmoving and a 75 m3/h water treatment plant.
Apart from the ethane cracker, there will also be an administrative campus with offices, a company restaurant, a gym and bicycle storage.
Potential Job Creation
The project will employ more than 3 000 people at a time at its peak.
Capital Expenditure
€4-billion.
Planned Start/End Date
The cracker will be commissioned in 2026.
