The project entails the expansion of the PAO unit at Chevron’s Beringen facility, doubling the company’s PAO production capacity to 120 000 t.
PAOs are specially designed chemicals made from alpha olefins. They are used in many synthetic products, such as lubricants, greases and fluids, and have emerged as essential components for applications in the automotive, industrial, cosmetics, technology and military sectors.
Potential Job Creation
The expansion project will create about 20 additional full-time jobs in the region, and hundreds of construction and indirect jobs.
