Aim-listed Premier African Minerals has been granted permission to operate its 49%-owned flagship RHA Tungsten project, in Zimbabwe, following the approval of the project’s environmental-impact assessment by the Environmental Management Agency (EMA).

“Our in-house team worked in close cooperation with the EMA and the granting of this permission to operate on time and under budget further demonstrates the commitment of both Zimbabwe’s National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board, our partners in this project and the various departments of the Zimbabwe government to see RHA into production,” comments Premier CEO George Roach.

Production at the project, which is being developed at a cost of $4.15-million, will start in June.
