Portable worktables offer flexibility and mobility
Three new portable worktables are now available in South Africa. The worktables are designed to facilitate easy and quick set-up, are light and are made of environment-friendly materials.
The tables are aimed at do-it-yourself enthusiasts as well as professionals who require a mobile and versatile work space.
The three models are:
Worx Jawhorse: A portable clamping work support station that offers hands-free clamping with over 1 t of clamping force. The jaws are designed to securely clamp items from 1 mm to 880 mm thick. The worktable’s steel construction aims to provide durability, whilst the tripod base offers stability for various types of terrain. Key features include a folding frame for compact storage and ease of transport. It also offers hands-free locking and a foot-operation clamping mechanism. It is designed to hold up to 199 kg and has a working height of 940 cm.
Worx Pegasus: A folding worktable and sawhorse that is said to be lightweight yet sturdy. Its 79 cm x 64 cm workspace is designed to accommodate a large variety of wood sizes and folds into a 13 cm compact unit. Additional features include support grooves for wood, a folding, built-in shelf for tools, measuring guides and a bracket support for power strips and other attachable accessories. It supports loads of up to 136 kg or a sawhorse supporting up to 454 kg. It also includes an integrated clamping system, four clamp dogs, two quick bar clamps to hold a variety of materials and stabilise a variety of materials and unique shapes.
Worx Sidekick: A portable worktable designed for quick set-up and mobility. Particularly suited for use as a table top in a workshop, on-site, outdoors or on a campsite. It supports up to 136 g and features a holding tray for storage of tools. Multiple units can be connected to provide an expanded work surface. The metal legs are detachable, non-slip and designed to not sink into soft ground.
The three worktables are the same height and can be used in conjunction, to extend and add versatility to a workspace.
