Name of the Project
Port Washington (Lighthouse) Data Center Campus.

Location
Port Washington, Wisconsin, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Global data centre provider Vantage Data Centers.

Project Description
The campus, named Lighthouse, is inspired by the iconic Port Washington lighthouse. Spanning 272 ha, the campus will include four single-storey data centres totalling 902 MW across 232 257 m2.

The project includes customisable offices and workspaces dedicated to individual customers, secure storage with easy access between data modules, and multiple conference rooms and meeting spaces throughout the campus. Power for the campus will come from zero-emission energy resources, including solar, wind and battery storage; the remaining energy requirements will be met through renewable-energy acquisitions.

The facility will also feature rack densities of up to 1.4 kW per square foot and an on-site substation.

The campus will have combined air-cooled and liquid-to-liquid cooling to support next-generation graphics processing-unit workloads, and a closed-loop chilled water system. This will result in the facility having a near-zero (ℓ/kW/h) water utilisation efficiency.
