Project Description
The new port of Kribi has a draught of 17 m. The multipurpose terminal will initially include a 265 m quay with two berths, equipped with two cranes on rails and six truck cranes.
Activity during the five-year first phase is estimated at 1.4-million tons of freight a year from the second year.
The 15-year second phase foresees the use of an adjacent quay measuring 350 m and complementary facilities and equipment for activity that will surpass three-million tons a year. The new terminal will handle vehicles, wood, cotton, mineral ore, and oil and gas equipment, together with the materials used to build the industrial zone and the future power plant that will be next to the Port of Kribi.

The project envisions an investment of about €26.2-million and licence fees paid to Cameroon by Necotrans/ Kribi Port Multi Operators (KPMO).
