Company Announcement - Pilot PoS Software  has seen qualified sales leads generated from search engine traffic leap by 70 percent following its decision to redesign its website using Sage Online Tools. The company, a leading developer and implementer of systems designed for the food and hospitality markets, realised that it needed to redesign its ageing website to maximise sales opportunities from the web. Pilot felt that the look and feel of the site had been become dated; what’s more, the site ranked low in Google organic search engine results for the company’s key search terms. Following a recommendation from its marketing agency, Pilot asked Sage Online Tools to help it revamp its digital presence.

Sage Online Tools from the Sage Pastel Accounting division, was tasked with redesigning the site to give it a more contemporary look as well as with ensuring that the site was search engine friendly. With its modern, responsive technology and design philosophy, Sage Online Tools built a site for Pilot that looks good on tablets, mobile phones and desktop PCs and that reflects the company’s market and product positioning.

Says Glenn Miller, Managing Director at Pilot Software Holdings: “To say we have been astounded by the results is an understatement. In the first month after the site went live, we saw qualified leads jump by 70%, indicating a potential ROI of over 1000%. Not only that, but we have hit Google page one ranking for most of our selected keywords.”

Says Sage Pastel Accounting General Manager, Daryl Blundell: “Since Google is today the first place customers start researching a product or service they wish to buy, no small business can do without a professional online presence. With our tools, we aim to give SMEs a platform that reduces the risks and costs building a website that helps them to bring in and convert sales leads.”
