Pawlowo wind farm project, Poland
Name and Location
Pawlowo wind farm project, Poland.
Client
EDP Renewables Polska.
Project Description
The project involves the development of a wind power park consisting of three wind farms, located in the Margonin, Gołancz and Budzyn communes, with a total capacity of 281.5 MW. The Margonin wind farm, commissioned in 2009, is the largest wind farm in Poland and consists of 60 wind turbines, with a total capacity of 120 MW.
The Pawłowo-Gołancz wind farm, located in the Gołancz commune will consist of 53 wind turbines, with a total capacity of 79.5 MW. The electricity produced will be transmitted through the underground cables to the electrical substation, in Rybowo village, where the voltage will be changed from 30 kV to 110 kV and transferred through an overhead power transmission line to the Margonin substation. Through the existing overhead power transmission lines, the voltage will be transferred further to Piła-Krzewina substation and the national electricity system.
The Pawłowo-Budzyn wind farm, located in the Budzyn commune, will comprise 41 wind turbines, with a total capacity of up to 82 MW. The energy produced at the farm will be transmitted to a substation located 2 km in north-east of the farm, from where it will be delivered through a 110 kV cable or overhead power transmission line to Margonin substation and the national electricity system.
Value
€195-million.
Duration
The Pawłowo-Gołancz wind farm is expected to be completed and operational in June or July 2013.
