Project Description
The project will be implemented in three phases over a seven-year period, and entails the upgrade and refurbishment of the Olifantspoort and Ebenezer Bulk Water Supply Scheme project. The upgrade will mostly benefit consumers within the Capricorn District municipal area, which includes Polokwane, as well as consumers in various local municipal areas in the Sekhukhune and Mopani district municipalities.
This first phase of the upgrade works is envisaged to increase the availability of potable water supply to the city by between 55 Mℓ/d and 65 Mℓ/d by 2026.
