Oklahoma aluminium production plant.

Location
The plant will be built at the industrial park at Tulsa Port of Inola, Oklahoma, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Premium aluminium producer Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and US primary aluminium producer Century Aluminum Company.

Project Description
The project entails the construction of the first new primary aluminium production plant in the US since 1980, and will produce 750 000 t/y of aluminium, more than double current US production.

It will be built using EGA’s latest aluminium reduction technology, EX, which is among the world’s most advanced and efficient.  

Potential Job Creation
The Inola plant will create 1 000 permanent direct jobs at the facility and 4 000 jobs during construction.

Planned Start/End Date
Construction of the project is expected to start by the end of 2026. Production is expected to start by the end of the decade.
