PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Oar Resources saw its share price on the ASX jump by more than 54% on Thursday, before the company went into a trading halt.

The company requested a trading halt until April 26, when it is expected to make an announcement about its graphite project in South Australia.

Oar in March announced that it was reviewing a previously completed scoping study at the Oakdale project, in the Eyre Peninsula, with a view to reassess treatment options and mining scenarios for the project.

As part of an ongoing strategic asset review, the company said it was also reviewing investment and divestment opportunities for its portfolio of exploration assets on the Eyre Peninsula, which comprise six contiguous exploration licences covering 1 520 km2 of the Gawler Craton.

Oar shares closed at a high of 8.5c a share on Thursday, up from a starting price of 5.5c a share.
