Nzema solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant, Ghana.

Client
The Nzema plant will be built by a subsidiary of Blue Energy, Mere Power Nzema.

Project Description
The 155 MWp solar PV plant will be built on a 183 ha site close to the village of Aiwiaso, in Western Ghana.

The plant will comprise more than 630 000 individual panels and will generate an estimated 240 000 MWh/y.

Value
$400-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to start in September this year, with full operation achieved in late 2015.

Mere Power Nzema has signed a power purchase agreement with the Electricity Company of Ghana.
