The Nep will meet additional demand for natural gas in the emirates of Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah.The Nep will be connected to an existing pipeline in the north of Al Ain and will run for 70 km through the Emirate of Sharjah to the connection point at the Sharjah National Oil Company.
The Nep will have a diameter of 36 inches and will be laid mainly in the desert areas of Sharjah.

Dolphin Energy has invited experienced engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors to participate in the prequalification bid for the company’s Nep project.
The project’s scope includes detailed engineering procurement, the construction and commissioning of a 36 inch interconnecting pipeline, a block valve station and associated facilities to be installed between Dolphin Energy’s 48 inch Taweelah Fujairah gas pipeline block wave station 06 and the Sajaa gas plant, in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The EPC contract for the project is expected to be awarded by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
