Project Description
The project entails the construction of the 278 709 m² electric car manufacturing plant for FF to produce the company’s premium electric vehicles.

The facility will feature several elements designed for sustainability and harmonisation with Nevada’s natural surroundings.

Structural glass, a water feature and dark-sky-compliant outdoor lighting fixtures will welcome visitors and thousands of production workers by connecting the plant with the landscape.

The project will also feature extended life-cycle materials that require less maintenance.

Additionally, the project will include the use of sustainable and energy efficient oils, elevator systems and lighting, as well as prismatic skylights for day lighting of the manufacturing section.

Even greater energy savings will be realised through roof-mounted photovoltaic solar panels for power generation, a cool roof Energy-Star coating system, and energy efficient heating and cooling systems.

The current demolition work includes the digging of water retention pools to store water for compaction and use in the building’s cooling towers.

The facility will incorporate integrated viewing platforms and purposeful designs allowing for visibility of vehicles during the assembly process from a safe vantage point.

The project will create about 4 500 direct jobs over a ten-year period.
