- New Managing Director of Cemo Pumps aims to take company to new heights
The beginning of a new era has been marked for leading pump specialists and engineering firm, CEMO Pumps, as the Johannesburg-based company promotes its Chief Engineer Gregory Cohen to take the helm as its Managing Director.
CEMO Pumps is the manufacturing arm of the Crown Group, and encompasses the main brand, CEMO, under which most products are marketed across South Africa, and exported across Africa, Australia, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Having worked his way up through the ranks of the company, Mr Cohen has become one of the industry’s leading pump specialists, and aims to guide the company through an accelerated growth programme over the next few years, capitalising on the company’s expertise. He commented:
“I am immensely proud to have achieved the position of Managing Director at what I believe to be the best industrial pumps businesses in Africa. I have a lot of admiration for the business and every single person in our team. It is this passion I want to use to drive the business forward, developing a sustainable business for the next generation. For me, this means developing the team internally, so that those who want to grow within the company will feel a similar pride both in their own development and also in the company who helped them to do so.”
Chairman of the Crown Group, Harold Crown, added: “We congratulate Gregory on his well-deserved appointment. His dedication and strong work ethic, coupled with his outstanding technical knowhow make him the ideal candidate to drive Cemo Pumps forward in the years ahead."
