JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Golden Rim Resources on Friday announced that assay results from recent diamond and reverse circulation drilling confirmed new gold intercepts at the Netiana Lodes at Balogo, in Burkina Faso.

These include 10.8 m at 1.4 g/t of gold from 297 m, 3 m at 3.2 g/t of gold from 268 m, 6 m at 1.5 g/t of gold from 141 m, 8 m at 1.1 g/t of gold from 109 m and 1 m at 8.3 g/t of gold from 7 m.

Further results confirmed depth extensions to 240 m below surface and that the mineralisation remained open at depth.

Drilling had also increased the strike of the mineralisation for an additional 150 m along strike to the north-east.

As all drill assays had been received, a preliminary Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource calculation was expected by the end of January.
