Project Description
The project entails the rehabilitation of 21 km of the N14 highway between the Diepsloot and Brakfontein interchange.

The project scope includes the construction of a new fast lane (15 km), reconstruction of the sub-base, removing existing defective asphalt, painting new road markings, repairing existing bridges and installing new guardrails.

Jobs to Be Created
Provision of skills development opportunities, training and economic empowerment to local contractors forms part of the project.

Value
R444-million.

Duration
The project was launched in June and will be completed over 24 months.
