Telecommunications group MTN embarked on a management restructure following the surprise exit of MTN CFO Nazir Patel this week amid undisclosed allegations emerging from internal investigations.

MTN Nigeria CEO Brett Goschen replaced Patel, who resigned on Monday. Goschen also took on the role of executive FD.

MTN Ghana head Michael Ikpoki would step in to head up the Nigeria operations.

Ikpoki was appointed CEO of MTN Ghana in April 2011 after successfully running MTN Nigeria’s sales and distribution channel as its executive since 2006.

MTN SA chief marketing officer Serame Taukobong moved to head up the Ghana operations, with MTN SA chief customers sales, service and distribution officer Brian Gouldie replacing him.

Group enterprise business unit executive Farhad Khan would succeed Gouldie.

Group finance executive Philisiwe Sibiya was appointed MTN SA CFO.
