The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation’s (Necsa’s) Knox Msebenzi has been seconded to the Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa (Niasa) as MD.

This followed a prior agreement between Necsa and Niasa, which saw Necsa’s Ayanda Myoli being seconded to Niasa as CEO for several years. This arrangement came to an end at the end of May.

Niasa’s board said it had adjusted Msebenzi’s title to MD to more accurately reflect the nature of the role.

The organisation was formed in 2007 to represent the South African nuclear industry and its members include organi- sations, groups, and individuals from the established nuclear sector, as well as from entities involved in endeavours related to the development and operation of nuclear technology.
