Year of Formation and Background to Founding:
McCallum Rademeyer & Freimond (MRF) was established by Monty Rademeyer and his partners in 1979. MRF specialises in intellectual property matters (including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, designs and copyright) and related litigation.
Later, an associated practice, Rademeyer Attorneys, was formed by Kim Rademeyer. Together MRF-Rademeyer Attorneys boasts over 56 years of combined experience. The practice has grown from its strong base in intellectual property law to become a competitive leader in many fields of law.

Number of People Employed:
The firm consists of two partners, six senior associates, three candidate legal practitioners and a strong team of support staff. In total, the firm employs between 20 and 30 people.

Greatest Corporate Achievement:
MRF-Rademeyer Attorneys started from a small base and expanded to provide legal and intellectual property services to some of the biggest mining groups in the world. The firm provides services to clients locally and abroad, works in approximately 60 countries and liaises with correspondents across the globe. The professional staff are qualified in a full range of technical fields including mining, metallurgy, chemistry, mechanical and electrical engineering, life sciences and computer software.
