Mpact Corrugated Honours Imperial With A Supplier Of The Year Award

Company Announcement - Long-standing client Mpact Corrugated has named Imperial Logistics its “Most Improved Supplier of the Year” at an awards function recently hosted by the business’s Nelspruit branch. Imperial Dedicated Contracts Managing Director Dawie Fourie, whose division has been undertaking secondary distribution for Mpact Corrugated for more than a decade, says the award reflects the success of the customer centric approach that his team is committed to. “Our relationship with Mpact Corrugated in Nelspruit has gone from strength to strength over recent years, largely due to our drive to really align our service with our client’s needs.
We have forged a relationship built on trust, and constantly ask ourselves what our client needs from us, and what innovation we can deliver to enhance our service and drive Mpact Corrugated’s competitiveness.” “We have moved away from being a service provider to being a partner, and our branch manager Bruce Sneddon, supervisor Emmanuel Mdluli and customer service manager Errol Maloyi deserve to be commended for their outstanding efforts to achieve this,” he stresses.
Fourie explains that Mpact Corrugated’s annual supplier awards for the Mpumalanga region have become sought after accolades among the operation’s service providers. “The selection process begins with a suppliers’ day and exhibition in Nelspruit, at which all of Mpact Corrugated’s suppliers in the area showcase their services and have the opportunity to interact and network. Suppliers are interviewed, evaluated and scored according to strict criteria, and the winning organisations are recognised at the annual awards function.”
Commenting on Imperial’s performance, Mpact Corrugated’s Nelspruit general manager Flip Velman says: “Imperial Logistics is perceived to be a true partner of Corrugated Nelspruit, pro-actively assisting the business in performing more effectively. This enables the plant to be flexible and react on customer demands in a superior way.” “We are honoured to be working with a business like Mpact Corrugated that places such great value on its supplier relationships. We don’t plan to rest on our laurels, and we are aiming to net the ‘Best Supplier of the Year’ award next year,” Fourie concludes.
Mpact Corrugated produces a comprehensive range of printed and unprinted converted corrugated products, including board, which is used to manufacture corrugated packaging, corrugated boxes, die-cut cases, folded glued cases, trays and point-of-sale displays. Corrugated customers in Mpumalanga are primarily in the agricultural sector, and Imperial moves some 22 000 tons annually for the Nelspruit plant.
