Name: Moolart Well mine.

Location: The Moolart Well mine is located within the Duketon gold project, about 350 km north-north-east of Kalgoorlie, in Western Australia.

Controlling Company: Regis Resources.

Brief History: The development of the Moolart Well mine was completed in September 2010.

Brief Description: The mine has an expected mine life of six years, with an average production of 89 509 oz/y of gold.

Mining Method: Openpit mining at Moolart Well is conducted by means of conventional truck-and-shovel selective mining methods.

Major Infrastructure and Equipment: Infrastructure at Moolart Well includes a processing plant, a power station, a laboratory, a borefield, a runway and a 130-man camp.

The Moolart Well processing plant is a standard carbon-in-leach gold extraction plant, with a nameplate design capacity of two-million tons a year for blended laterite and oxide ores. The site is powered by a diesel-generated power station.

Products: Gold.

Geology/Mineralisation: The Moolart Well deposit is a large oxide gold deposit, residing within a deeply weathered Archaean ultramafic-mafic volcanic sequence above the base of weathering at about 70 m vertical depth. Primary gold-sulphide mineralisation exists within quartz lodes and alteration zones beneath the weathered zone in fresh rock.

The deposit consists of two zones: a flat-lying laterite zone developed in an iron-rich weathering hard cap, and a deeper oxide zone developed in clays.

The laterite zone mineralisation occurs down to an average depth of 20 m. Over the known 5 km × 1.5 km extent of the Moolart Well mineralisation, the average mineralised laterite ore thickness is 3.8 m and the average colluvial cover is 6.4 m.

The oxide mineralisation extends from beneath the laterite cap at 20 m down to the base of weathering at about 70 m vertical depth. This zone contains a total reserve of 2.4-million tons at 1.94 g/t gold for 148 000 contained ounces of gold at a cutoff grade of 0.5 g/t.

Reserves: Total proven and probable reserves as at June 30, 2011, were 11.4-million tons, with a grading of 1.42 g/t gold.

Resources: Total resources (inclusive of reserves) as at June 30, 2011, were 91.8-million tons, with a grading of 0.75 g/t gold.

Prospects: Regis Resources continues to actively explore within Moolart Well’s oxide zones to add to the reserve base of the project.

Contact Person: Operations director Morgan Hart.
