Minister Jeff Radebe, Minister of The Presidency, will be speaking on the opening day at Machine Tools Africa, a trade exhibition taking place at the Expo Centre in Johannesburg from 9-12 May. Minister Radebe will discuss the National Development Plan and its impact on the SA manufacturing sector, especially the SA tooling market.

Minister Redebe’s speech will form part of a seminar series hosted by the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering taking place at Machine Tools Africa. The seminar programme is available online at www.machinetoolsafrica.co.za. CPD points can be earned for attending.

“We are delighted that Minister Jeff Radebe has confirmed that he will be a guest speaker during our free-to-attend seminar series at Machine Tools Africa,” says Gary Corin, Managing Director at Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, organisers of Machine Tools Africa.

“The exhibition is bringing the quality of this industry sector to the forefront by showcasing the latest in innovative technology, machinery, equipment and accessories. In addition to the live demonstrations, product displays and conversations with technical experts on the stands, the seminar topics will also be of great value to visitors. We look forward to hearing more about the National Development Plan and its impact on this essential industry sector when Minister Radebe presents his talk on the opening day of the exhibition.”

Visitors to Machine Tools Africa will be able to interact with local machine tools suppliers together with their international principals. On view will be the latest products, services and technology that this innovative industry has to offer. Daily machining and cutting demonstrations will bring the showcase alive.

The exhibition is a Machine Tools Merchants’ Association of South Africa (MTMA) event, organised by Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, a member of the prestigious Montgomery Group.

Machine Tools Africa enjoys support from the South African Capital Equipment Export Council (SACEEC), the Italian-South Africa Chamber of Trade and Industries (Italcham), and the Society for Automation, Instrumentation, Measurement and Control (SAIMC).
