Latest Developments
TEN has selected Alstom to supply four turnkey substations for Chile’s Mejillones–Cardones transmission line project.
The contract, worth an estimated €260-million, includes the installation of three new 500 kV substations in Chacayita, Los Changos and Cumbres, as well as the expansion of the Nueva Cardones substation.
Alstom will supply its air- and gas-insulated substations, which will contribute to 1 500 MW of energy transmission.
Alstom will also provide and install its high-voltage power compensation products to enhance the power quality of installations, making the electrical network efficient and secure, with stable energy flow.
