A range of modular components designed to meet the needs of Industry 4.0 has been recently announced.

The industry modules aim to allow for flexible and productive manufacturing that also conserves resources.

The GROB-NET4Industry from GROB Systems features various modular components that can be combined and customized to suit a range of applications. The modules allow customers to manage direct and indirect areas around the machining process, in an effort to achieve the most efficient utilisation of high-precision machines.

All areas of production aim to be integrated, from production planning, monitoring and analysis, to the visualisation of workpiece machining processes, proactive servicing and maintenance.

The modules are equipped with integration platforms for all machine types, with the goal of implementing manufacturer-independent digitisation concepts and comprehensive project support.

The modules are available on the control systems of leading manufacturers such as Siemens, Heidenhain and Fanuc.

Available GROB-NET4Industry modules include:

  • GROB4Portal: Secure industry platform for all cloud services and other services
  • GROB4Line: Monitor machines by smartphone
  • GROB4Analyze: Machine feedback for the CIP process
  • GROB4Connect: Connects the shop floor to the ERP system
  • GROB4Track: Continuous monitoring of machine axes
  • GROB4Care: Service and maintenance portal
  • GROB4Automation: Intuitive control software for unmanned operation
  • GROB4Interface: Facilitates machine communication
  • GROB4Pilot:  Multifunctional and interactive machine operation

In addition, the GROB4Pilot control enables almost completely paperless production operations. The multifunctional and interactive operating concept features a capacitive touch screen, Internet connectivity, and three-dimensional support that makes it possible to depict all processes relating to machining.
