Project Description
The school will provide an opportunity for 700 learners from 22 feeder primary schools to complete a high school education.
The two-storey facility will comprise three blocks of 25 classrooms and a school hall, with an adjacent outdoor assembly area for the learners.
The school will be a model of green development, featuring wind and solar energy, energy efficient lighting, automation systems, and rainwater capture and water-filtration technologies.
It will also include a state-of-the-art resource centre, which will house two computer labs, an engineering design lab and a library.
The school will also have netball and football fields, as well as a sports pavilion.
Accommodation will also be provided for 12 teachers.

Construction is estimated at R100-million.
Duration
Construction of the school began in October 2012 and it will open its doors in January 2014 for the next academic year.
