JSE-listed Metair has announced that its CEO, Theo Loock, has decided to take early retirement and will step down from the position, effective December 31 this year.

He will also step down as chairperson and nonexecutive director of all local and international Metair subsidiaries and associated companies.

Loock has been Metair’s CEO for nearly 15 years, establishing the company as a leader in the automotive component and energy storage markets.

In addition to appointing a new CEO, Metair’s group structure will be strengthened with the appointment of a COO as well.

The recruitment process will be conducted by a professional executive search agency and both internal and external candidates will be considered.
