Project Description
The newly ordered LPG carrier will measure 230 m in length, 36.6 m in width and 11.1 m in draft, with a gross tonnage of 48 300 t and a deadweight tonnage of 51 100 t. It will have the capacity to carry up to 83 000 m3 of LPG.

The ship will also be equipped with the industry’s most advanced systems, including mooring arrangement, to enable passage through the newly expanding Panama Canal, which is expected to become operable early in 2016.

Latest Developments
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has received an order from Astomos Energy Corporation to build the LPG carrier.

Construction, as with the three previously ordered vessels, will be carried out at MHI’s Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works.
