Linc Energy triples oil output
PERTH (miningweekly.com) - ASX-listed Linc Energy on Tuesday announced that it had tripled its oil production in less than 12 months, with the company producing some 6 307 bbl/d of oil at the end of December last year.
“Breaking the 6 000 bbl/d milestone is an accomplishment which has required a fantastic team effort and huge commitment from all involved,” said CEO Peter Bond.
During 2013, Linc will continue its active drilling campaign in the Gulf Coast, with six active rigs operating for new wells and recompletions.
“One of the exciting things about this coming year is that we now have a far better understanding and working knowledge of these oil fields and their potential. This should allow Linc to continue the significant oil growth from this Gulf Coast region, while consolidating the oil production gains already achieved, from what are some of the cheapest-cost oil-producing fields in the US,” said Bond.
