Name of the Project
Liberia inland storage facility (LISF) project.

Location
In Liberia, 10 km from the Freeport of Monrovia.

Project Owner/s
LISF is being developed by InfraCo Africa, with CPCS Transcom acting on its behalf, in partnership with Liberian logistics company GLS Group.

Project Description
The project entails the development of Liberia’s first open-access commercial warehousing facility.

The 4 600 m2 facility will incorporate flexible storage space, state-of-the-art inventory management systems and time-efficient loading and offloading.

Potential Job Creation
Generation of 50 to 100 jobs is expected.

Planned Start/End Date
Operations are expected to start in 2021.

Latest Developments
InfraCo Africa has secured grant funding from PIDG’s technical assistance (PIDG TA) to undertake a prefeasibility study to assess the power needs of the facility. PIDG TA has provided $360 000 for the supply and installation of a rooftop solar-hybrid system that will provide the primary source of power for the facility.
