Latest Developments
The Governor of East Nusa Tenggara has approved the construction of the hub. No further approvals are required to allow Gulf to start construction of the smelter.
Gulf will immediately undertake detailed site surveying, in conjunction with the required site clearing and civil works.
On confirmation of site topography and before construction on the project starts, Gulf will finalise and adjust all site plans.
Further, the selection of local engineering companies to work under the South African project engineers and manager XRAM is also under way.
XRAM and Transalloys have started working on the stripping and preparation of the two smelters before their being shipped from Pretoria, South Africa, to Indonesia.
With the governor’s approval, the import procedures can also be finalised.
