Kingon’s contract as Sars acting commissioner extended by 3 months

Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has extended Mark Kingon’s contract as acting commissioner of the South African Revenue Service (Sars) for a further 90 days, effective September 14.

The power to appoint a permanent commissioner vests with the President.
