Project Description
The proposed Keyneton wind farm, located along the Eastern Mount Lofty ranges, in South Australia, will comprise:
• 42 wind turbines, with an estimated capacity of 105 MW;
• 45 km of on-site access tracks and 42 km of underground cabling;
• an on-site electrical substation;
• three permanent meteorological masts to hub height;
• five temporary meteorological masts between 80 m and hub height;
• three temporary construction compounds; and
• 6.1 km of overhead transmission line on 20-m- to 25-m-high poles to connect the northern and southern clusters.

The wind farm will connect to the national electricity grid by direct connection to the existing 275 kV line, which passes through the site.

$200-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to start in 2015.

Latest Developments
The South Australian Planning Department granted conditional approval of the project in December 2013.
