Project Description
The project involves the extension of the 30-turbine Kentish Flats offshore wind farm by adding fifteen 3.3 MW turbines, providing an additional maximum installed capacity of 49.5 MW. The extension will be built 7.8 km from shore and will cover about 7.77 km2.

The extension will be capable of generating between 90 000 MWh and more than 150 000 MWh of clean electricity every year. When completed, Kentish Flats, as a whole will be capable of generating between 350 000 MWh and 430 000 MWh of clean electricity a year.

Value
The extension will cost more than $228-million.

Duration
The final commissioning of the extension is expected in January 2016.
