A globally-recognised waterborne automotive paint system is now available in South Africa.

The paint has a colour database of 700 000 colours, giving paint colour options to A- and B-grade panel beaters in the country.

The PPG Nexa Aquabase paint brand is approved by several motor manufacturers, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Ford, Nissan and a number of other international original equipment manufacturer brands.

Autoboys has secured exclusive distribution of the brand in South Africa.

The paint range is currently available at selected outlets, but is expected to be available throughout South Africa and Botswana by the end of the year.

The majority black-owned company has over 70 outlets across South Africa, 290 insurance partners and 169 fitment vehicles.

Autoboys parts managers and staff have received training from leading global paint company PPG, empowering them to service the automotive refinish market.

The company has also employed additional staff with previous experience in using the paint.
