Having evolved out of footwear company Hi-Tec Sports, which was founded in 1974 by Frank van Wezel, subsidiary Hi-Tec Work has evolved into Interceptor, which the company says “answers to end-users’ demand in providing safety footwear”.

Interceptor by Hi-Tec, explains brand manager Geraint Beacham, offers customers a high-quality safety footwear with features that include a range of leather uppers, toe caps and specialized sole constructions at an affordable price.

The footwear apparel is often used in the construction, mining, engineering, agriculture and, interestingly, do-it-yourself industries.

The company is positive about consumer demand for the footwear, especially considering that the pandemic provided the company with an opportunity to “get out there again” and allow its sales representatives to maintain and develop new relationships.

Interceptor by Hi-Tec intends to continue on this positive momentum over the next 12 months, as it plans to continue assisting its partners with both the sales and the training of the company’s products at end-user level.

This “feet on the ground” approach helps to promote both the Interceptor by Hi-Tec brand and build relationships within the industry, Beacham comments, adding that the Interceptor research and development team are looking to potentially launch a new product next year – one that incorporates both the Hi-Tec style and latest technology.
