Name of the Project
Imperial oxide gold project.

Location
The project is located in California, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Kore Mining.

Project Description
A preliminary economic assessment (PEA) has demonstrated Imperial’s potential to be a robust midtier gold mine with compelling project economics.

The project has total indicated resources of 50.38-million tons grading 0.0174 oz/t gold and inferred resources of 100.17-million tons grading 0.0133 oz/t.

The project is envisaged as an openpit, run-of-mine heap-leach operation, with existing infrastructure and a mine life of eight years.

Average gold production is estimated at 145 600 oz/y for total life-of-mine recovered gold of 1.67-million ounces.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The project has a pretax net present value, at a 5% discount rate, of $437-million and an internal rate of return of 52%, with a payback of 2.3 years.

Capital Expenditure
Initial capital costs are estimated at $141.8-million.

Planned Start/End Date
Not stated.

Latest Developments
The engineering work completed for the PEA will be used to complete an update to the plan of operations, which is a key document to restart the permitting process.

Kore aims to submit the plan to the Bureau of Land Management in mid-2020 to restart the permitting process for Imperial.

The company plans to make a construction decision in three years’ time from submission of the plan of operations.

In 2020, the company will also press forward with enhancing the project through exploration and further drilling.

Kore will apply for permits to drill high-priority Mesquite-Imperial-Picacho district exploration targets, resource expansion targets and several infill holes to improve confidence in geotech, metallurgy and resource estimate data.

The company will also continue to explore the Mesquite-Picacho district claims to generate additional drill targets.

Key Contracts and Suppliers
