I will take the vaccine – Ramaphosa
African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday said that he was pleased that many South Africans were keen to take the Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available and assured South Africans that, he too, would take the vaccine.
In the ANC's Progressive Business Forum, held virtually, the party unpacked the Covid-19 response, economic recovery and the vaccine.
Ramaphosa said the roll-out of the vaccine will be one of the country's most significant projects and revealed that business will be working with government to ensure distribution.
“We believe that we have now reached a stage to defeat Covid-19. The vaccine is going to be a major boost in our effort to fight Covid-19,” he stated.
The main task, he noted, will be to beat Covid-19, closely followed by the economic recovery, the renewal and the unity of the ANC and the creation of a better Africa.
“I have no doubt that in the year ahead, as much as we have difficulties, we will confront them and we will emerge victorious,” he enthused.
