Project Description
Covering a distance of 71.16 km, the Hyderabad metro rail network comprises three corridors and 64 stations – Miyapur to LB Nagar (28.87 km and 27 stations), Jubilee bus station to Falaknuma (14.78 km and
14 stations) and Nagole to Shilparamam (27.51 km and 23 stations).
The rail line will be capable of transporting 60 000 passengers an hour at peak times.
Power will be fed back into the grid through regenerative braking, supplying 45% of the energy required.

Latest Developments
Mott MacDonald has been appointed as detailed design engineer for six stations by L&T.
It will provide architectural, structural and public-health design services for three interchange stations at Ameerpet, Parade Grounds and the Mahatma Gandhi bus station.
The consultancy will also design three other stations at Panjagutta, Hi-Tech City and Jubilee Hills checkpost.
