PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Horseshoe Metals has reported a 40% increase in copper resource at its Horseshoe Lights copper/gold project, in Western Australia.

The project is now estimated to host a resource of some 12.85-million tons, grading 1% copper and 0.1 g/t gold for 128 600 t of contained copper and 36 000 oz of gold.

In addition to the resource estimate increase, Horseshoe also reported on Wednesday that more than 30% of the resource estimate was now classified as measured and indicated.

Horseshoe told shareholders that there remained further potential to substantially grow the copper inventory at the Horseshoe Lights project with further targeted drilling.

The company would now undertake a down-hole electromagnetic survey ahead of the next phase of drilling to test for off-hole conductors, which could represent massive sulphide copper/gold mineralisation.
